About me
I've been building things for the web since 2010. Started out writing CSS that probably shouldn't have shipped, and kept going until the job title caught up with the scope of the problems. Right now I'm a Senior Principal Engineer and Architect at Gupshup, where I design platform infrastructure for a business that moves faster than most people are comfortable with.
The through-line across fifteen years has been the same question: how do you build systems that hold up when things get complicated? Early on that meant figuring out frontend architecture before "frontend architecture" was a phrase people used seriously. At Endurance, it meant leading teams across Bluehost, HostGator, and MOJO while keeping enterprise hosting platforms running at scale. At HyperVerge, I got my first real exposure to AI/ML systems in production. At Gupshup, it's all of the above at once, messaging infrastructure, microservices, event-driven systems, and increasingly, AI woven into the platform itself.
I care about clean abstractions and systems that are boring to operate. Most of what I write here comes from problems I've hit in production or ideas I keep turning over after work. If any of it saves you a few hours of debugging, good.
